Me and the wife are going on a coach trip to Paris for the Prix de l' Arc de Triomphe at the weekend. I know nothing about horse racing, but we're sure to put a few bob on. So if anyone has any hot tips.....

Wouldn't say I was an expert but Workforce at 7/1 in the big race looks a good bet. Ill probably have £10 on it.

Snow Fairy is too big a price if it's still going to run (I haven't checked the last couple of days). Chuck a few cents each way...

Workforce is a real favourite of mine so I'm biased.

I am going to an Arc/Champions Day preview tonight with some of the presenters from Racing UK. Will you let
you know what words of wisdom they came up with on my return.

As promised some feedback from the preview I went to earlier tonight. The panel was Steve Mellish and Nick Luck from RUK, Simon Clare from Corals and Adrian Beaumont from the
    International Racing Bureau.

For the Arc they were all keen on So You Think and also had positive words to say about Masked Marvel and Hiruno D'Amour. In the Prix de L'Abbaye the man from Corals said his chief odds
maker is an expert on sprinters and he has two in this race - Masamah and Tangerine Trees. Anything can win this though.

In the Prix de L'Opera they were all really keen on I'm a Dreamer.

Adrian Beaumont also gave us a very strong tip for Red Cadeaux to win the Melbourne Cup - currently available at 79-1 on Betfair.

Have a good day on Sunday.

No surprise you like the horses.

Be very careful with Workforce as the ground is not in his favour. I wouldnt even take 6/4 that it will run..( the ground they run on is probably the most important thing to take into account) I believe a better option is Masked Marvel,,, I would also have an interst in Prohibit in the Abbeye..
