Don't know what they're called, but need the flushing mechanism changing - the plastic gubbins that fills up with water before being discharged when flushing. doesn't work half the time. First thought that not enough water was getting in, but altered the ballcock to the highest point before the toliet overflows, without making much difference. Sistern sits directly on the base, so guess the job will involve removing the sistern to unfaster the plastic stuff from underneath. I remeber when installing the plumber also used sealent around the joint to prevent leaks (don't think this is normal) so this may make removing the plastic stuff a little harder. Can anyone give mea rough idea of what this is gonna cost, and recommend any cheap plumbers. TIA
My bog has a similar problem I can't believe how cheaply made all that internal gubbins is. I've seen better quality items fall out of Christmas crackers. I suppose they know you don't look at this when choosing a crapper in the showroom.
