Shaun Walker. Lives near The Ash pub. Taught our son and as well as being a good instructor, every lesson was a good laugh too. Be warned, mind, as I think the hourly rate, for most instructors, tops £40 these days.
I found Shaun Walker quite rude. Only had him for a few lessons but found he was quite sarcastic and asked a lot of personal questions. I was quite a nervous driver at first so that definitely didn’t help. I guess everybody likes different teachers. I quickly moved to Kevin Cooper who was great. Calm but also firm if needed. Also, he’s a Barnsley fan so during the lessons we just used to bang on about football. It’s been a few years since I passed my test (not sure where the time has gone?!) so no idea if he’s still working though.
Hells bells. I remember it being 9 quid an hour when I was learning. And as a poor student, that seemed impossibly expensive.
be careful near the crossroads with a new learner driver if you’ve not got dual controls. I’ll get my coyt
