Done it at many grounds (Forest, Leicester, Bournemouth, Luton to name a few ) and at Leeds loads of times and always been ok. Just sit on your hands if we score and stand up if they do. Much better in the away end though and certainly worth the extra money to celebrate the 3 points with your own fans.

I did that once, a long time ago (late 80's) and it was the worst away day experience I have ever had.

Me too, it was the game where we were 1 - 0 down but won 2 - 1 when Archie and Brendon O'Connell (I think) scored. The people around us (mostly middle aged men) were decent and friendly when it was 0 - 0 and 1 - 0 to them, but then turned into staring eyed savages after we equalised. One of the scariest experiences of my life and I was glad to get home.

Sat in the home end on a few occasions over the years, usually due to being late sorting tickets out or due to knowing a local fan. I've had mixed experiences. Grounds where I expected it to be difficult such as Liverpool, Man City, Birmingham, I had no problems (though I did keep completely silent at St Andrews, even when Watson saved a late penalty, not easy that one)

However, I have encountered problems, memorably Leicester when I was a kid. It's certainly not ideal and given the choice I would always go in with our away support. But if you're sensible and gauge the tolerance/sense of the folk around you, it shouldn't be a problem. I would never go mental when we score though, it would piss me off if an away supporter did that in front of me at Oakwell.
