    Red Rag,

    Kids or Adults?

Chestnut Tree isn't a bad meal - decent ale too.

Further afield - British Oak down Denby Dale road is 5 Star, seriously good home made food and some really good beer/wine selection.

The Foxhouse at Dunford Bridge is good. They do a very good carvery for less than £8 & the portions are very generous. They also have 3 or 4 real ales on too.

I suspect this may be a bit further out than you were planning on travelling so it may not be suitable this time around but I'd say it's worth your while looking at later
