We've had over the last 10 or so years in general young or inexperienced managers.... ...instead of giving a manager say a 2/3/4 year deal why not offer an experienced manager a 1 yr deal with a decent stay up bonus? Paul Jewell Billy Davies Phil Brown All done the rounds agreed but the players need to look up to someone now who's been there and done it this time, maybe a short term view but us fans don't seem to like the longer term appointments these days.
I was just thinking about the idea of a "stay up bonus", especially considering the estimated 6 million we stand to lose by going down.
Last 2 managers have had rolling 12 month contracts - I assume with performance related targets - I would expect the same for the next one - highly likely to have a stay up bonus
\go on tell us all why Oh wise one? But before you do say that we cant afford them, remember that Phil Brown said he would have taken the Hartlepool job !!
