imho interest from Old Trafford has prompted the transfer request.

They have 3/3 league clean sheets so far, so I can't see them panic buying by getting in a bidding war for a kid with one full premiership season behind him. Hope i'm wrong but i'd say he's Chelsea bound.

Hope not - but it might be attractive to Everton - they value jones at £1 and Sell Stones to Man U for 15 Million so we get a much smaller sell on - basically Everton and Man U can reduce the price by what we lose - or doesnt it work like than?

Maybe they amputate an arm or something and send it to us?

No, won't work like that. If they declined a bid of £35m it would make it very difficult for them to argue that a player plus cash deal would be valued less than that.

Let's not forget that Jones was bought by United for £16.5m and has since gone on to be an England regular so his 'value' would be north of his price they paid. Stones is already valued at £30m due to a bid of that value being turned down.

There's no way we can be duped on this.

It's just not possible, not unless the rules are changed.
