Anybody else get annoyed looking at that big block of empty seats near half way?

Game after game it is the same. Empty until some time into the first half. Empty coming up to half time, empty for a while after half time.

Who ARE these people? They certainly aint football fans. When hospitality/drinking/eating is more important at a football match than actually WATCHING the match then they should not be there.

It's an embarrassment seeing rows of red seats. Watching England should be special (Ok, I know it isn't much good most of the time!). These "special ones" have no right being near Wembley Stadium.

PS Same goes for Oakwell to some degree. Can't understand people who manage 65 or 70 minutes actually in their seats. I go to the ground to watch my team. That's supposed to be the point of the whole thing....isn't it?

They are empty period which implies folk just aren't buying into corporate packages.

They really didn't think it through when they put the TV cameras opposite.....Now if the TV cameras were on the opposite side of the pitch by the corporate area we'd see full seats of normal fans, rather than empty prawn sandwich seats when we view games on TV.

Sorry, I was writing it during the England game last night. As for Oakwell, I am ESL so cannot see the empty seats above me but those opposite are another story. Wistful thoughts back to Premier League days, all seats taken. Probably never happen again I suppose.

We are not alone though - you only have to watch any MOTD and, in particular, the FLS afterwards and you would think that people aren't bothering with football any more. Banks and banks of empty seats at nearly every ground you see, with a few obvious exceptions. Shame that the game got to this state.

Maybe it is time to knock all the grounds down and make everyone play in something like Walsall's. Our nine or ten thousand crowds would look good in something like that.

It is exactly the same as at Wembley. Those seats are reserved for people in the exec boxes to go outside and watch which means that half the time they're sat empty. Prawn sandwich's all round.

as I am not too bothered about our national side of Prima Donna's the I answer no

once we get a team of lads like the new kid Townsend, Baines etc... ones who seem to look like its a big thing to wear the colours of your country... to represent your country on a world scale, then I will get angry at such stuff. I am not gonna hold my breath

What annoys me most about it is that they will advertise the game as a "Sell Out" (very apt), and then you see all these empty seats in the "I'm so rich I don't have to care" seats.

I always hope a goal is scored in the first or last minutes of a half just so they miss it.....not that they would care:mad:

so if you are annoyed at the term "sell out"

I can tell you that I observed loads of seats empty at Anfield when we beat the Scally's when Howard scored at the end... if you had looked around when we then went on to "DO" Chelski .. the corporates were not totally full either . Fella the fact is this, the true fans will never get a good deal.. they will be milked always, whether its the World cup, the Premier league , or the Blue Square... its that simple
