...so we can continue our attacks on Davey? Er, I think he should buy some players. There. I've said it.
No, I'm not glad at all, I'm extremely pissed off. Sacking another manager would be the last thing that we needed right now.
Yeh but If the manager is **** then it would be wise to get rid. At the moment i am not sure if he's crap or unlucky. The next 2 games will decide.
RE: Yeh but That's kinda my feeling, about the next two games. Will be back in the UK for the one against Derby, so I would hope we've started to pick up by then, otherwise I'll start getting very worried.
I'm never glad when we lose but this team has an entrenched losing habit that has been there for a year at least away from home and increasingly at Oakwell too. It's not rocket science to see why: we are weak at the back and don't pose enough of a threat up front. Davey will come out with all the excuses but the buck stops with him. He has made some excellent signings but a lot of poor ones, and he has persevered with some bizarre choices: Bobby Hassell in midfield for one (ok, so he wasn't today) and Kayode Odejayi for another. The fact it's a new season is irrelevant given how similar the team is now to the one from last year, the ineptitude and losing mentality have carried straight on from where we left off in May and in pre-season and you don't have to be a genius to see where it all ends up. I'd love Davey to turn it round but I just don't see it.
With any luck our form will pick up soon enough, im not trying to find excuses, just trying to be a bit positive. QPR are one of the favourites for promotion, and Coventry are our bogey team, (along with the other 22 in the league) our record against big teams over the last few years has been pretty good, Chelsea, Liverpool, WBA last season, Birmingham the year before, so hopefully we'll grab a win next week, i don't think its very fair to pin all the blame on Simon Davey, even though his team selections have been poor, but its the 11 guys running about like headless turkeys who can make or break a game. Lets get behind the lads, and stop being so negative, (give it another game or two)
I think all this **** about bogey teams is just that - ****. Over the years players change for both sides so why should past results suggest what will happen in the next game against them - its just a convenient excuse. The games are not coming kindly at the moment which is a worry - I think we'll get hammered next week and that could really bugger any morale before the season has got going.
I wish he'd sign a left back And I wish he hadn't gambled on two foreign players for key positions this summer. I wish he was a bit better at this management game if I'm honest, but I'm certainly not glad we lost. Rather pissed off as it happens. That coachman bloke is a daft lovely person.
A right footed left back and left midfielder against Mifsud.... I would also like to have seen a 'proper' let back !
