We parked across the road from the ground on a piece of private land. Paid a fiver. The complete ***** that monitor the parking at the Ricoh Arena bloked the exit with a big white van and refused tomove it stating that the road was closed. The arsehole in question anticipated an elderly lady trying to pull out of a different exit and pulleda metal barrier across only just missing the front of her car. Extremely confrontational, very passive aggressive. Winding everyone up who parked there. Totally unreasonable - genuine little hitler, was without a doubt enjoying his petty little job. There was just no need whatsoever and it wasn't sanctioned by the police - the road was clearly not closed.
For those of us who didn't go The stadium is a brand new build, correct? How do they get away without having any parking facilities?
RE: For those of us who didn't go Oh, the stadium is brand new and there is plenty of parking. It's just £10 to park your car. So we went over the road for half price.
I was wondering that myself. The Coventry Chairman wanted to build a bigger Stadium to replace Wembley.
Hmm This was on the back page of The Chronicle: "Coventry have stated that there there is (?) no car parking spaces for visiting fans at the Ricoh Arena."
RE: Hmm We thought there wouldn't be, but there was. Car park 'B' was for away fans, but it was £10 in.
Had a reight job getting out of t' Well after disembarking frum tut coaches (full o' fecking brain-dead chavs (youngen) ).
Daft owd cow in a red Micra nearly battered my motor twice during proceedings. (shakrhead)

Car park stewards ok, told us to park round the corner for £5 and not the £10 they were charging, no wonder the car park was empty, £10 for goodness sake
