Anybody ever pre-ordered 'owt off Play.com??

Was going to order the new Football Manager for when it comes out..

I've not bought any games though (as I don't have a console)....

If I order a DVD/CD, it gets posted out the week before it is released. So, you will usually get it on the saturday before it hits the shops on the monday.

Why did you want to know?

 

How long did it take to arrive after it was released? nt

 

i did the same a few years back for 05,dont bother,wait till its released then order,too much hassle

Well if it usually takes a week or so I can probably get it quicker from shop.

Don't worry - it's cheaper than the shops. I have ordered the last 6 versions of FM (previously CM) and not been let down. 3 times it has arrived on the day of release. Twice it has been with me the day before release, but last year was a touch disappointing - not their fault though. The story being there were a lot of companies posting the game out VERY early. So SI decided to bring the date of release forward to the Wednesday instead of the Friday. Play.com stuck it out and I received mine on the Saturday. So it was the worst last year, but like I say, evey other year has been brilliant.</p>

This year though I think I will try 101cd.com. They are only charging &pound;17.99 - &pound;7 cheaper than Play, and say they will despatch for delivery on release date.</p>
