I would but it coincides with the start of the World Cup, I'd rather see England's gutless performance in the comfort of my living room rather than a hotel bar.

I did Morecambe to Filey a few years back and it was brilliant. It was gruelling and mentally taxing, but the feeling of achievement upon completion was second to none.

I'd definitely recommend anyone to give it a whirl. You have to be in decent physical shape, but let me tell you, it's the mental side of it that's the hard part. When you're staring up at a five mile climb when you've just done 60 miles in the pouring rain, there is only a positive mindset that's going to get you up and over the other side.

I'd like to do it sometime but it takes 2 weeks if you just rush through and 3 weeks if you want to actually enjoy it - I dont have enough holiday to do that and ski in the same year so I think it will need to wait until I retire or am otherwise out of work for a while

    good luck with it though

Dunno what kind of push bike you've got Farnham, but if it takes you two weeks to cycle from Liverpool to Hornsea then I'm guessing it's not a good one.

I did Silverdale to Saltburn for Children in Need & really enjoyed it, I like riding anyway so all the training didn't bother me.

I did plenty of training for it near Holmfirth & Emley to get used to big climbs. Nothing on the coast to Coast was anywhere near as tough as going up & over Holme Moss in thunder & lightening.

Agree with Poet that you get a great sense of achievement. I'd recommend it to anyone especially if you do it with a group of decent folk like I did.

Oops I thought they were walking - should have read it properly first

But my push bike wouldnt get from Farnham to Aldershot at the moment its been in the garage and never ridden ever since we moved to our current house in 2000 so it probably would be quicker for me to walk
