They say it is twice as wide as Buckingham Palace, with over 5 miles of corridors! It also needs a lot of work doing to it.
Would probably need in the region of another £40m - £50m to get it back to something like it's original splendour.
new combi boiler, new kitchen & bathroom suite and tha'll be reyt I watch "Homes under the Hammer" ... that allus seems to sort properties out... plus a lick of paint. Budget around 10k and a timescale of a couple of months.

I've always found it amazing that Britain's largest stately home, and bloody impressive at that, is hardly known outside the region. It has enormous grounds and with some investment could be as big as Chatsworth in terms of pulling power.
The most shocking thing in that article is that a 1 bed property in Knightsbridge goes for £8m. Really?
