.. he came over as sensible, passionate and eloquent. Fully understands the realities of running a club that's punching above it's weight.
I heard it and I agree entirely... ... he came across as very passionate but also very realistic about the club and it's place in the football world.

What did he say? Because he accused the manager of lacking ambition last year when he said we were up against bigger teams and we would be very unlikely to get into the prem again without massive investment.
RE: What did he say? he said that that clubs in the lower leagues need a benefactor as the gates do not cover the costs. He also said that the chairman was good at keeping costs down. The relegation possibility was giving him sleepless nights as the income deficiency would set us back but he'd cover it. Asked FA cup or championship.. he said on the day of winning it would be fantastic but the joy would fade in the following months if we'd gone down. I know where you are coming from when it comes to the 'premiership ambition' as he'd sacked a manager on that pre-text... but he didn't comment on this ambition. He also said that the management team should have an eye for a bargin.
Overall he did sound commited and genuine.
Dave
