Know that my sis in law is struggling to find owt for my nephew who is 3 1/2.

In fact when we moved here from Leeds in 1992 we striggled to find a place for RR#1. In the end the council had to let us queue jump as he'd been in nursery in Leeds for almost 2 terms

Have you been in touch with the Local School

to put his name down on their waiting list?

Ususally you put the childs name down at whichever school you want him to attend and then nearer the time you get an invite to go look round and let him attend for a couple of sessions. However, now their is competition for children to attend the better schools then you don't always get first choice you usually have to attend the local one.

I suggest you either have a word with the Headteacher at the school you want or failing that contact:

Edna Sutton at Barnsley Local Education Authority and find out just what you need to do
