after getting the liver transplant in 2002 was it, then going back to drinking after that, well deserves what he is getting and he knows it, obviously dont wish him to die, want him to survive hopefully but it serves him right.
I doubt he will make it to end of this week, but hope he pulls through, he is still only 59, i know old age but, if he didnt go on piss up all time he may have had another 15 years to his life, 15 years along time. wasted.
RE: I doubt Once again saying that is not going to help him. Who are you to judge him? How do you know what it's like for him? Have you ever been an alcoholic? You have no idea what he has been through, and why he abused the chances he was given.
RE: I doubt well i know but, whats life been like for him, he was a footballer gorgeous wife a son what more does he want, sounds perfect to me, nothing seems to have made him an alcoholic. i hope he pulls through good luck george
RE: I doubt You've never been in that situation so you cannot judge. You do not know the full story behind Mr Bests life, being a professional footballer always in the limelight, with the media watching your every move may be not as great as you think. I for one hope he pulls through and makes a full recovery, both physically and mentally.
RE: I doubt ye of course been a great aspect for the game to inspire others to play when he was a player, Legend!!!
to quote Mrs Merton I suppose all that running around made you thirsty. I bet George doesn't regret it... all those Miss Worlds.
Totally Agree, they should have gave it to other person who would have made full use of it and taken the second chance of life more seriously.... of course i would not wish death on my worst enemy but at the end of the day some other person has probably died that would have got antoehr 20 years out of the organ not just 3... End Of
RE: says he is a little better If he pulls through, then it's been another close shave for him. It wouldnt surprise me though that if he did come out of hospital, that he would end up back on the booze within weeks if not days! Just feel sorry for the poor people that had to wait for a liver transplant whilst he wasted away his second chance!
RE: says he is a little better and all the work of the surgons trying to save him before, and the doctors now. the real sad thing is he wont be remembered just for his football.
George Best It's usuaally caused by having an extremely large bank account and too much spare time on his hands.
