How first few are predictable, so Appleton, Wilson, Mellon, Agnew, Megson etc But then it appears to just go into an A-Z of managers who haven't been in a dugout in years, are that **** no one would touch em with a stolen club or ex pros that might have said I would like to manage one day. Surely this is just a list compiled by someone one with only the faintest knowledge of football. For me, surely, if a Championship job comes up then the list would be made of a couple of ex reds, a couple of recently sacked Championship managers, but the real mix of a list surely contains Rosler, Pressley, Slade, Cook, Parkinson, Evans, Ferguson, Wilder etc. the best of the lower leagues as it stands. Surely?
LR I think your right, it's a lazy list, if that was Boro job you would have seen a more cleverly thought out short list
The bookies are just listing any old names at this point to draw some punts in. What would be the benefit to them of a list of 4 or 5 names?
thats exactly what they are doing ponty, they're quite happy to take money off people daft enough to put it on some of those names that wont have been given a second thought by the club. maybe they think they can get get away with it seeing as last time no fcukker wanted owt to do with us.
if you are willing to bet on one, then more fool you they will be down the boozer, thinking up out of work has beens who might take the job after a double of Jager Bombs you probably would come up with the name Michael Appleton, mostly as his surname starts with an "a"
When I first saw it I thought it was just a list of anyone who had ever kicked a ball. Some ridiculous names listed there.
