RE: Got the 604 if thats any use nt Having issues. These issues fall into two catagories.
1) Compatibility
2) My ignorance.
If you wouldn't mind, could you help me with the following:
- When I record any video media I literally have to use the adapter and play it real time into the machine as if I was using it as an old fashioned video. This is because it refuses to play any video formats I transfer across on USB - for example WVMor MPEG. Am I doing something something wrong? What formats will thisbloody thing support and how do Itransfer my videos into that format? :'(
- I videoed the whole of the BFC play-off final from Sky onto it - so I have that full match stuck on the AV 500. It is saved as an AVI file. When I transfer it across to my computer via USB it only plays the sound and not the picture. I'd love to get it on my PC so I can watch it, edit it and stuff.
- How doI copy DVDsto a format that I can portacross to the AV 500?At the moment I have to play them in full on my DVD player plugged directly into the AV 500 There has to be an easier way!
Any help would be appreciated. RE: Got the 604 if thats any use nt I have used it to play AVI and DivX films so far, not tried WMV or Mpeg, but there;s plenty of programmes out there to convert to Divx either individual mpegs or even ripping DVds to Avi (Divx) I have just dragged and dropped the films from the HD onto the Archos without any snags Can't help you with the recording from TV as i havn't tried that part yet.
RE: Got the 604 if thats any use nt Do you recommend any programmes to rip DVDs to AVI? Or convert MPEG to AVI? Many thanks for the help (worship)
