Anybody recommend a cheapish decent hotel or website for Amsterdam please.Thanks in advance

    I don't know where the Ajax arena is, but for lads on the lash in 'Dam, this place is the nuts:

    Get the train into Amsterdam from air/ferry port as the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the station.
    Saturday night the bar downstairs has music booming out to the early hours - not much fun if you're trying to sleep upstairs - but if you're going to be out on the lash, it's nice, central and close to the erm... sights ;)
