Preferably on the way in like on/off Sheffield road (from Wosborough bridge end) or from Pogmoor end...as you can guess coming from down south up M1.....coming UP to Barnsley

    thanks in advance

Also that really small one in Penistone, just down by the pub and petrol station. Forget what it's called though.

its worth taking a detour through penistone

there's a chippy next to the white heart pub - it's excellent, though you have to queue for a fair time

    STOP...

The one next to Dodworth club, turn right at the monument...

Its 2 mins from J37 of the M1, the fish is quite simply superb.

    So many choices...

Well I am leaning towards the rotund as it is but after three lots of Fish and Chips I won't need food for a week.

Shaws gets the vote at this present time.....anyone fancy whacking up a Friday poll please feel free

My other auntie lives down Pogmoor so I might surprise her with a visit...my family are gonna be sick of me turning up unannounced like this!

    thanks all

Thanks for the name. Excellent food, but very small. You usually find yourself queing outside in the rain and cold.

    That's the one near us

and in my opinion it's much better than the one near the Gate Inn.

There's a chip shop across from the Mount near the football ground, that is always busy when we drop dad off, but I don't know what the food is like.
