Anybody remember the 1912 FA Cup Final?

Well at least the Gaumont film made of the 1912 Cup Final against WBA at Crystal Palace?

There was a delicious snippet on YouTube which was embedded on my website (sorry I'm a WBA supporter but you did get the best of us eventually). Except now YouTube has removed it. Yep looks like a 96 year old copyright violation. Can you believe it?

Anybody know of it? Is it totally lost to public view? It would be a shame.

I know someone whose Dad was at the 1912 final!

As for the film, the Scottish Screen Archive sell a DVD showing the first 37 seconds of the Barnsley-WBA match at Crystal Palace - I bought a copy! I believe there are longer clips around but I haven't seen them. http://ssa.nls.uk

My grandfather's cousin Wilf was part of the 1912 team (and also the 1910 team) - my biography of him should be out in a couple of months (hopefully by Christmas) - see website http://www.troubador.co.uk/book_info.asp?bookid=732
