It's not their pitch The owners should take responsibility. A few weeks back U2 played there, then the following match the away team were complaining it was covered in glass. Disgraceful.
Rochdale lost there and complained about the pitch. Next match Huddersfield won there but still complained about the pitch. I'm guessing Chesterfield will make it the trifecta.
if u watch it on sky sports news its a rite state the pitch has about 4 different colours of grass on it looks proper uneven as well
The buck stops with the ref of each game. If he deems it unplayable then the game is called off. All games played since the concert have been given the green light
maybe so i just watched the highlights this morning, i didnt realise other teams have complained about it but if you watch the highlights u will see what i mean
Poorly cleared if there was glass on it Firstly where was the glass from, as the drinks sold were in plastic bottles and you were searched going in to prevent you taking your own in. Secondly, there was covering over the grass. Admittedly though that prevented any sun getting to the grass for a few days whilst it then had the weight of 40,000 people on it (plus a huge stage) for a few hours
It isn't just the footballers a Sheffield Eagles player has a nasty glass cut on his knee and the club are considering taking action against the Stadium operators.
I was at the U2 concert and the pitch was completly covered And All drinks were sold in plastic. SO I cant understand any of this
