RE: Brilliant player he was!... My many Huddersfield friends all thought Town got rid of him too soon to us.
Gorre was Class And also possibly the coolest man ever to live (apart from the awful song he did with Mario Melchiot and Beni McCarthy i think it was)
RE: Gorre was Class Always wanted a copy of that!! BTW. I think it's stretching it to call Gorre a legend, certainly in terms of what happened whilst he was at the club. In his first season his contribution was little to none. This recall of him as a "legend" is based on about 15 games under Gudjon.
Redstar Trust me you dont want to hear it. i Have heard it and its on a par with Twin and thats sayin summat ha ha
RE: Brilliant player he was!... I agree, whenever Gorre was playing well the whole team played well, especially in attack. He got the ball and made things happen in a team that wasn't that great. A good playmaker.
Did you ever see him play away from home? Thought not , neither did anyone else.
Complete utter waste of time and money.

Legend my arse If Dean Gorre is touted as a legend then I really do think the person who selects them ought to be sectioned.
Big wages, constantly injured, featured in relegation side?? (unsure) and subsequent underperforming ones.
skillful player..yes
Legend..no way on earth.

RE: good player, but not a legend i dont believe he is a legend but still might be there at half time, be good to see him.
How many true legends are there? It's just a bit of half-time fun to show your appreciation of some ex-players - beats Twin. What constitutes a legend? Number of appearances, goals, skill level. I'd say 95% of those who've been presented so far couldn't be classed as a legend. Les Lea was a great player but when he played he wasn't regarded as anything legendary Same with John Bettany, Tommy Graham and just about everyone who's walked out onto the pitch. David Hirst was a Wednesday legend. Apart from Spud Murphy, Mick McCarthy,Norman Rimmington, Ronnie Glavin and Craig Hignett, I would say they were all just ex-players but I still like to see them. Deano will get a round of applause from me if he'sthere Saturday.
Les Lea not a legend? Speak for yourself,Les was and still is a true Barnsley legend .You put Hignett as a legend but not Redfern(dunno)
