certainly am, good prog about the best man never to be England manager cos he spoke his mind. Liked the intro bit for Forest appointment " a little rundown corner shop of a club".

Thought it was a great program. Cloughie was probably just a bit before my time - wish i'd been a bit older. Never realised how successful he was.

Thought ITV were taking the piss a bit when after the part when his family and others were saying how 'The Damned United' was a poor reflection of Clough that blended reality with allot of fiction that the first advert that pops up was for the film.

Not what the Leeds fans at work say

They see getting rid of him as one of the worst things they ever did.

That's true they couldn't wait....Clough as we all know came in at Leeds as the big i am, which in fairness he was i suppose....But at Leeds at that time they had a team of fantastic Players who wouldn't take no **** from him, and rightly so ....

Clough was lucky in that he didn't get is head caved in from some of the Players in what he was spouting at them....

And i know for certain of one of the Players who had a quiet word with him about his attitude towards himself and told him under no circumstances that if he spoke to him again in the manner in which he had been doing he would simply put the fecker in Hospital, Clough never did it again....

Leeds United ( the all whites ) was bigger than him, and better IMO....He was though saying all that a great Manager....

Leeds decline started from that point. Some would say they should have kept Clough, he might have kept them at the top. Won a European cup maybe.

The club would have had to find a new pool of Players to be able to do that , cause of what i got told back then not one Player would have made any effort to help the Manager get any success of any sort....In fact they would just be prepared to just make enough wins to keep themselves in the 1'st Division....

The Leeds Hierarchy did the only thing they could do, Sack the guy....

And rightly so, the Leeds hating ****....(chinny)

Players should have got on with playing. They were still playing for Leeds so should have wanted what was best for Leeds regardless. Instead they stuck with the players, who were on their way over the hill, and fell into decline after a few years of mediocrity. Meanwhile Clough went to Forest (and probably treat the players the same as the Leeds players) and took them to the title and European Cups.
