Cornflakes for brekky. Salad for lunch. Chicken and veg for tea.

Still a fat fooker tho, as some of them that went to Southend will testify. Probably got something to do with weekend football related alcohol consumption.

    The Portion Size Diet

Basically eat the same food you would normally have but 25-50% less of it.

Slimming World works for me, lost 2.5 stone on it, although I couldn't manage to shift more.

Put a stone on though in last year but back at it and started going to the gym as well.

I never lose any from trying to cut down on food

I just tend to get complacent, so I drift and put it back on

Think that says more about me than diets though

    weight watchers

still eat the stuff you want until you run out of points. It gets you to change your eating habits. Fruit and veg are good things, say no to chocolate and alcohol.

That depends how you do it I guess. Too many WW brand replacement food you can buy though. My ex used to virtually live off WW ready meals etc, not sure quite how that changes eating habits if you are still eating cakes and biscuits etc but just that they are WW, because come off the diet and the chances are you go back to the less healthier alternatives.
Not saying thats how everyone does it, and I know people who have had success on it, as did she, but it doesn't entirely promote healthy eating overall. I was making stirfries, veggy sauce for pasta etc (which she wasn't too keen on eating) and when she was talking to her gym instructor and saying what she ate he was saying she wasn't getting enough nutrition for the workouts, when he told her what she should eat it was basically what I was eating. My problem was in not exercising which I am now correcting.

Just get out of the car and walk a bit more......

    Diets are dangerous.

Just cut out the crap and eat a health diet with some low intensity exercise.

Try a brisk walk three times a week for at least 20 minutes.

    Not rocket science admittedly ....

but Energy in - energy out = weight gain (loss), simple as.

Get your exercise levels up, up and then up again, at the same time cut back on the booze (in the week) and cut out snacks. Eat fresh stuff, stock up on plenty of fresh fruit and veg, lean meat and lots of water/juices.

Strictly no crisps, biscuits, refined foods, ready meals, beer (at least try to cut down in week). Oh and cut down on caffeine, try fruit tea it grows on you.

Diets never work mate, lifestyle changes do though. Oh and watch your portion sizes.

I'm now running 30-40 miles a week and eating like a foraging primate.

    Yours,
    Porky x

    Diets don't work

You'll do more damage than good. Increase excercise, cut down portions & snacks. Cycle to Oakwell before you down several pints of pre match ale.

We have to eat 5 meals a day

    loads of calories

but if you exercise 5 times a week e.g. swimming, cycling, running, drills, hiking etc you burn those meals off and burn any fat aswell.

take a multivitamin tablet and a fish oil tablet. This combined with eating regular small meals speeds up your metabolism.

this ****** about people having a fat gene. A fat gene doesnt stop you from doing exercise and burning off fat.

eat 5 big macs, do no exercise, youll put on weight. Eat 5 big macs and do enough exercise to burn off the calories it contains, you wont get fat. Do more execise than the calories it cntains, then your body will start breaking down your body fat and using that as energy.
