I've been accused of being a druggie by Bramahs which I am not, I don't even smoke! I've complained to head office and even told kitchen staff manager who works there and he says he'll have a word cos he's known me over 10 years but end of day it's defamation/and or Slander. Can I take it even further?
Under which circumstances did they accuse you of either taking or dealing in drugs? Is it a place that you regularly use and have been barred? Have you been taken to one side by security or have you heard from other people that your name is being sullied? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Unless you have written, video or audio evidence of what is claimed, then you'll have a hard time proving anything.
I went in last night, already had one pint and when I went for second got told I was barred for taking drugs in toilet last Friday, i've been in since a few times and no one has said owt till last night.
I'm sure if it was said in public in front of others you may have a case , was it the manager who spoke to you or just a bar worker , do you really want to go in Bramahs when there are better pubs in tarn
If the only person the allegation was made to was you, that's not defamation. Even if it was, you'd be most unlikely to be able to afford to pursue an action in the civil courts.
It was a other Manager but she did take me to one side so no case then, I'll just leave it to my mate who works there and probably get a apology

Dear sirs, Please accept my apologies for bringing this matter to your attention. On ( date time place) i attended your establishment to relax after work with my associates. After my first pint i went to the toilets and returned to attempt to purchase my second only to be informed by (blokes name) that i had been taking illegal substances in the gentlemens toilets on Friday night and my custom is no longer wlecome at this establishment. As you can no doubt appreactie this had caused myself a great detail of stress and can lead to potential repeccusions if wprd of the alledged act reached my employer. I have drunk in this establishment for over 10 years with it being my pub of choice within barnsley town centre and i am well known to a number of current and former staff both as a customer and to some as freinds. Not once have any of these people voiced concerns that i am either a social or habitual drug user. I have never used illegal drugs or precription drugs other than for what they were intended. Please can you forward this to one of your colleague to investigate this matter in order to restore my good name and my good faith in your brand. I may be able to help sunshine, when I sit on a chair my left leg is straight up & my right leg is somewhat underneath and pointing to the right whilst my right arm points left and vice versa, my head is then tucked under my belt. So yes I am a silly sitter, can I be of any assistance?
You'd think they'd have mentioned this when the alleged incident happened? Is it allowed on a Friday or summat? I'm almost scared to blow my nose in any toilets in town these days.
