chairman offer's player , AR thinks he wont improve the team , says no...simple really ,

AR knows he's only going to get X amount for players so wopuld rather spend it on someone he knows will do the job for us.

    seems pretty obvious to me,

However some are just desperate for us to sign anyone.

I am of the opinion that if the player thats offered wont improve the team then whats the point.

Had a thought about the Kazim-Richards situation last night

AR said he wanted him and said how much we'd have to pay for him, GS comes back and says that Brighton are prepared to talk.
Now why would Ritchie then change his mind? Perhaps GS then said that there wouldn't be any more money available if we spent all that on Kazim-Richards so Ritchie decided to look elsewhere knowing that he needed to bring more than one player in.....just a thought.

The fault with that theory is that do you honestly believe that in all this not one player has come up who could improve on the obvious weaknesses in our team?????????.....because I can't.Having said that the only people who really know seem to be contradicting each other all the time.

    No blame to apportion.

Ritchie - good young manager, as honest as they come. Shep genuine, heart in right place, but a bit naive. That's my take on it.

Dirty laundry should, most definitely, be washed in private. Especially McDog's.

    That is quite possible ES...

    I was thinking a simialr thing;

Perhaps AR told GS he wanted Kazim-Richards and valued him at £100k. Then GS makes the deal happen but at £150k, AR might turn round and say he's not worth that?

fecked if I know. Certainly bizarre to say the least if he is changing his mind on his own targets

but tommy wright had a very good record when he was signed

Much better than any of our strikers had at the time, there was nothing to suggest that he wouldnt do the job for us too.

    Not what was suggested though...

it was suggested that AR had not chosen TW et al. I've heard talk that contradicts that involving other ex Sheff U players

    that's my take on it

    Something like this maybe?

    AR: I want Kazim-Richards

GS: Ok, you can have him and thats your budget spent. No more players

AR: oh ****, i'll have to leave it then. I can't blow the entire budget on one player.
