went to a charity do n won a weekend away there. i know thats where the ryder cup is being held (i think) but has anyone been before / is it anygood? where in wales is it?
The Golf is fantastic, food and drink good but not cheap. David Beckham once hired the whole hotel for a party! If it's good enough for him its good enough for you! Stop at the truck stop through Monmouth there is a stunner that serves you lol..... when she puts her teeth in.
NEWPORT CITY -- about 18 miles this side of Cardiff -- on the M4 -- absoloutely brilliant setting. Never been inside though!
Yep My wife used to work for a company that had a weekend away there. Really nice place, and lots of activities to do other than golf, like horse riding, archery, clay pigeon shooting etc. Or at least that's what the company had set up for us when we were there.</p> There was also a fire alarm at 3am...we were all left standing outside the hotel with Tom Jones!</p> </p> </p>
We stayed there every year when the Cup was at the millennium. Terrific hotel - only spoilt the year of Liverpool-West Ham; it was heaving with lairy Hammers fans off their tits. If you can run to a round of golf, that's money well spent. Great course.
Yep Was there the weekend we beat Germany 5-1 for a golf weekend,hotel was top class,couldn't do enough for us,golf great but they've altered the set up now .Top prices at the bar only down side
