Just looking at a week in the sun in Autumn and thought it looked alright.

Been to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote which I thought was nice. Is it similar?

It's the canaries. They're all pretty much the same. Weather nailed on, if a bit windy at times. Fuerte is the quietest of the canaries, but ideal for winter sun. If you look hard enough, I'm sure you'll find a Union Jack English bar, that will serve you all day breakfast and have fools n horses on the telly

Been to Fuerty twice, stayed at Caletta further down, but had a couple of days out in Corralejo and was impressed. Nice water park and you can see Lanzarote across the sea. Seems a nice resort and we often said we'd try a week.
Sorry I can't be more help.

Visited when staying elsewhere in Fuertaventura. I liked it. It has a really nice sweeping bay with a crescent of cafes and seaside bars/restaurants along the beach, but not too commercialised and fairly quiet. It looks no distance across to Lanzarote from there and there are ferries from the quay. I have to say that crossing made me seasick just to look at it the day we went - strong winds and big waves. Would definitely go there for a relaxing holiday, guaranteed good weather by the sea, nice restaurants and a sandy beach. Just two miles out of town there is a genuine desert too, complete with sand dunes which occasionally cover the road - wierd. The stuff blows across from the Sahara.

Spent a week there in March. Had a really good holiday. About 40 minutes transfer by taxi from airport to resort. Very clean place, plenty of decent places to eat, lots of good bars & shops/supermarkets.

    Flew from Manchester.

Very impressed, would go back in a shot.

Only downside was I managed to find a sports bar on the Saturday evening to watch the Reds play Man City ....... the rest is history.

I've been to Corralejo and Playa Blanca, and I would class Playa Blanca as much better in terms of amenities. Corralejo is nice, but I wouldn't rush back - the beaches are brilliant - 5km of unspoilt sand-dunes, need to watch out for naked Germans though, I caught the stare of some blokes brown eye whilst he was adjusting his sandals in the buff.

Personally, I'd go to Tenerife if I had to choose out of the Canaries.

Each to their own...But I'd rate Corralejo much higher than Playa Blanca.
