    RE: Yes

Is it still a nice place or has it been hijacked by Chavs? like much of the country.

I was there about 2002. There was some re-enactment of a medieval battle and the participants paraded through the town beforehand. A nice town in the best area in England.

Have you spent time on Treyarnon, Constantine or Travorn beeches ?

Harlyn Bay mmmm...get me there now !(Y) (nodding2fingers)

Last time I went, it had sold out. Full of tacky shops and tacky people. Plenty more nicer places in Cornwall for me. Have you tried Port Isaac or Padstow?

Took the wife and bairns a couple of years ago. Couple of nights at the avalon guest house and then a week at the fishermans cottage (on the crossroads). Had a great break, didn't feel as 'affected' as places like padstow etc.

We found it a good base for getting around the rest of cornwall.

The big question here is where he found that post

The archive of posts on this BBS only goes back 4 weeks.

Change your thread setting at the bottom of the page to 'beginning'.

    Think that cracks it.......
