i was there last month for a week. must see place is L'OCEANOGRAFIC the aquarium, it's in a newish complex with the science museum, the i-max cinema and the soon to be opened art gallery and concert hall. the buildings themselves are worth a look they are fantastic. the city itself is small enough to walk round but there is a limited metro system. the old town is well worth a wander round some really pretty squares and loads of church's it all joins together with the newer parts of the city. if your looking to do any serious shopping a place called alfafar just outside the city (about 15 minutes in a taxi) is just one big shopping estate. it is a really nice place to visit

no problem getting tickets for the game if you do end up needing to get some, just pop down the ground the day before or even the morning before.
