The game was just as important to Blackpool as us? That Blackpool were very well organised and were never just gonna roll over and die. That in a relegation 6 pointer, it often makes no difference whether you are at home or away. That Blackpool had just 2 genuine chances and took one of them. Blackpool's keeper was far the busier. That Blackpool had taller. physical players so the wind factor was always going to help them not us. Why are we automatically going to play bad in our remaining 10 games when we have shown in quite a few game this season we can beat anyone? PS - I make no apologies for not writing this one off yet, yer moaning, whining, depressing set of doom merchants
How does wind favour tall players? Surely it favours short players as a tall players main asset is when the ball is up in the air and common sense says that when it is windy you put the ball on the deck not in the air. blackpool had plenty of chances. their keeper wasn't busy at all, he made two genuine saves and both of those were pretty simple for a keeper to tip over to be fair as they were hit from great distance.
"That Blackpool had taller. physical players" yes so that A.rsehole had his players throwing the ball long into the box and never told them to stop even after the 8th 9th or even 10th time blackpool delt with it without any problems what so ever
RE: How does wind favour tall players? Taller more physical is what I said. Play it on the floor or over head and the ball doesnt run true when it's windy, it makes no difference. So essentially, for a team like Barnsley that has a few smaller/less phycial type players who can knock it about a bit it, spoils their game - the big lumpers like Blackpool had in the main, can continue the kick and rush stuff, no problem.
No, but I did wonder how some people would try and justify that abject performance It can't possibly be owt to do with the fact that the manager is clueless and his players aren't up to it or up for it
It was one of those goals that if he tried it again it would fly into the stands. Unfortunatley yesterday it went in !:'(
Blackpool were more determined, better organised and went for it. The thing is, not one of their players would get in our first eleven. So the finger is pointed at Davey, justifiably.
RE: No, but I did wonder how some people would try and justify that abject performance And your experience of managing a team is?
RE: No, but I did wonder how some people would try and justify that abject performance I used to manage Real Madrid in the late fifties to mid sixties We won the European Cup a few times while I was in charge
