Used them about 18 months ago and kept losing connection on calls. Looking to change again and wonder whether they've improved or not? The packages are still clearly the best but service used to be poor. Any thoughts?
i have been on 3 for 2 years i would not change cheeper calls and now 98% coverage in the uk it is far better now then it ever has been
I gave up on them ..last December when my contract ran out.</p> Many problems with the network and connection, but main problem was because the phone I had was possibly one of the worst models ever invented - the problems were endless - and I had 3 in the year.</p> Switched to an excellent deal on O2 with a Nokia, which includes roll over minutes and texts.</p> Now I never think about my mobile, it works so well that it is no longer an issue.</p> Would think long and hard before going back to 3.</p>
How many minutes and texts do you use? 3 aren't necessarily cheapest any more. You can actually end up being paid to have a contract if you don't need more than 200 minutes.
RE: I gave up on them which phone was it? I had the funny shaped nokia and kept losing connection, they blamed the phone not the network!
RE: I gave up on them It was an LG.</p> Proper chuffing awful. They wouldn't give me an upgrade to another type, unless I paid considerably more, and offered me the same deal on a new LG, so I chuffed 'em off.</p> I was literally counting the days off to the end of the contract, it was soooooo unreliable. Carried my old Orange PAYG around wi me cos i could never trust it to work when i needed it to.</p>
RE: I gave up on them Sounds exactly like my experience. Can't argue with the cost...or the service for that matter. The main problem was with the phone (LG) It packed in three times and constantly let me down. I struggled to get decent signal on it as well which made my mind up. Cancelled my contract a couple of months ago and currently relying on my work mobile.
250 minutes + 100 texts. This firm honours its cashbacks - http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/o2/contract-mobile-phones/nokia-3120.php/pnewo231200005 All your money back and if you go to the site via Quidco you'll get £32.50.
A different phone. http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/o2/contract-mobile-phones/nokia-6030.php/PNEWO260300004
Oh font of all mobile phone knowledge What would you recommend? Don't make many calls, probably under 30 mins a month. Mainly texts - about 150 a month max I think
RE: Oh font of all mobile phone knowledge There are plenty of free deals but I can only recommend MobileShop and E2Save for honouring cashbacks. (Send your vouchers special delivery.) Why don't you get 2 from the deals above? Like I said if you go through Quidco you end up being paid to have the phone so you'd be £65 in profit.
RE: Oh font of all mobile phone knowledge I can vouch for MobileShop - just had the second of my two £150 cheques back from them for the Nokia 3120 on Orange. Free calls, effectively.</p> While we're at it, Windy - I'm going back to having a work mobile 'cos they're making it increasingly difficult to claim back business calls from my own phone. Choice from three Nokias - 3120, 6020 and 6021. Discounting the first option, so what does King Mobey like the look of there?? One's gorra fairly shitty camera, one's got bluetooth. Whaddya think?</p>
RE: Oh font of all mobile phone knowledge I'm not really well up on phones mate. I just have a V3 for the size.
