My better half works for a catering company and receives her monthly wage directly into her account. Yesterday she and other staff received a letter telling them that they would not be paid today and that it was a much publicised fault on Natwests system and was out of their hands. Anyone else heard anything?
They once paid all our staff twice, then phoned us up asking why we had gone over-drawn!! Then they proceeded to send our staff threatening letters saying they had to pay the money back or else. We soon changed our business account, not impressed. Not really relevant to your problem tho'
Just been in touch with NatWest. They know nothing about it. Sounds like our lass works for a firm with a cashflow problem. I dont think the bank are very happy that they are being blamed. Could be interesting.
HSBC also unable to pay priority payments on Wednesday. They'll do anything to make a few thousand pounds interest. When hand written cheques went through the clearing system prior to computerisation, cheques cleared in three days maximum. You also dealt with a Bank Manager and not some spotty faced twit, who is called 'your personal advisor'. And this is called progress!!!!
ny daughter works for natwest and she has heard nothing infact poor lass hasant had a minute all day with people drawing there wages
