They're putting on An Evening With Bobby Hassell. I'll be there with barnsley66 and was wondering whether anyone else from the BBS was going, too? http://www.barnsleylamproom.com/events/show.php?id=371&dt=1352246400
Re: Do you believe I would say so given the church is a major part of his life and revolves around a lot of the community work he does.
To the extent You & funnyfella suggest? If it is, would that be a problem? All the ones I've attended of this type have stuck purely with the individual's football career, nothing else. I can't see why this one will be any different and, if the subject IS raised, I personally wouldn't have a problem with it.
I don't believe The subject will be raised. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it and I know Ian is, too. Bobby has always come across as a decent bloke, he's been a great servant to Barnsley and it'll be interesting to listen to his views on the club's recent history.
I was thinking about it. I really enjoyed the John Dennis and Neil Redfearn ones. Problem is I went with my Dad to them and he can't make this and I don't really fancy going on my tod.
If you do manage to go Just keep an eye out for two old blokes looking a lot like Statler & Waldorf. That'll be barnsley66 and me!
