    Feel terrible - stomach churning

Never known time go by so slowly. God knows what the last 10 minutes will be like if we are not losing. Probably a decade or so.

    I'm really dreading the game

We've been relegated three times in all the years I've watched us (1972, 1998, 2002). I'm not confident we can avoid a fourth.

    I know what you mean

I was at Port Vale in 1972 where we needed something to stop up. The entire game took place in Port Vale's 6 yard box, but we just couldn't score. Terrible journey home.

Having said all that, I would rather be in our position than in Norwich's.

    Oh I agree

If it were any other club than Barnsley, I'd be extremely confident of survival. But it IS our club and despite usually being an optimist, I daren't allow myself to contemplate anything other than relegation.

Are we getting too old for this?

I suppose you have to go through experiences like this in order to fully appreciate the good times.

I refer you to my signature

As for getting too old, no way. I will still be getting a season ticket when Davey, Cryne, Rowing etc are long gone, and their successors are long gone too.

    It's what I do.

Has anyone come up with a good plan of how to get thru tomorrow?

I just do not know what to do with myself.

    It's torturous.

    If tomorrow ever gets here

I've sprayed my clock with WD40 but it's still stuck.

    I'm thinking I might just

Hide in the bedroom, cowering and whimpering.

    Reading this board doesn't help

    Makes me more nervous....

When I was terrified on the morning of my wedding I went out for a run to get rid of the nervous energy ... that helped (barely being able to breathe certainly takes your mind off feeling nervous!).

So, I've decided I'm going to get on my bike & free wheel at top speed down to Hillsborough, turn it round & cycle 2 miles up a steep hill home. That should sort me out.

I can see that I may be getting some exercise this weekend. :D
