it's an interesting one. flicker has only ever referred to 'patrick', when he's talked about the board. at the lamproom, he only ever mentioned his name and has said on several occasions that they speak daily. it would appear this is where the key relationship is. awesome news. more so, as it seems like this was a deal that had to be on flicker's terms. if he has what what he thinks he needs to move the club forward, it's all very exciting.
If his co-accused (currently on trial again) are found not guilty this time, the case against Cryne will no doubt be dropped, too. I would then hope he becomes more accessible, or at least more visible. Health allowing, of course.
I'd be disappointed if he was suddenly able to take on more stressful things (ie running the club) and public appearences/ability to work at Oakwell etc suddenly becomes possible as soon as a court case against him is dropped when the only reason he hasn't stood trial yet is because of the excuse/reason about ill health meaning he cant attend. That would seem very suspicious to me. Not saying I think that would be the case or owt.
I cant really understand this post...........as I have understood it this is the situation at Barnsley........... PC is the owner and makes all the BIG dicisions Don is the general manager that cares for the every day running of the club A guy called Taylor? who has strong connections within football (FA / Football League?) circles is also involved at the club All three are classified as director but it is PC who decides on the direction of the club..........i.e. appointment of the team manager etc That is to say..........Don and Taylor? can be involved in negotiations but its not up to them to appoint a new team manager etc
I reckon you are not far off with that. The major decisions have always been made by PC. Flicker, and Hill, mentioned their relationship with him, in regular contact.
I understand all that Nudge. My point was, without the court case hanging over him, perhaps he'd be more interested in his club - as in, attending games, speaking with supporters etc to discuss the future. I don't care how happy we all are at present, and I'm not against Don Rowing. But I don't like him being the voice of BFC. He's as inspiring as Dave Jones.
i have thought long and hard about the original post but i still cant for the life of me figure out why the owner of the club would have anything to do with his team managers contract
