Yes I understand they were losing at home to their rivals in a play-off semi final, but surely you'd stick around and show appreciation for the team after the season they've had? Imagine if they were losing 0-6 at home. Bet many wouldn't stick around then. Glad they haven't gone through, can't stand the new found arrogance of their 'fans'.
The ones who walked out will have been the ones who never visited their previous 2 grounds. Reading their forums last night and had to laugh. They reckon automatic next season.
Yes it was a bit pathetetic really - place was half empty by the final whistle - you almost (but not really) wanted Brighton to get a couple of injury time goals to make them look even more stupid That said - have you ever tried leaving their stadium after the final whistle it can easily take over an hour to get on a bus to the park and ride or a train - even so playoff semi final - its hardly a normal game
They are their biggest rivals I suppose - not sure I'd want to watch Wednesday fans celebrating a trip to Wembley
it must actually be crap having no real rival that you have to make up a rivalry with a team 50 miles away.
Echo what offsprings says - half of the crowd only attended their first ever football game a couple of seasons ago.
I agree. The new Brighton fans are an arrogant shower and are really giving their long time decent fans a bad name.
Agree about the arrogance. Little old Barnsley trying to get Greer was an example of that. The ground is in a shocking place. Just gridlocked on a matchday
Wonder if that Caskey character stopped til the end Or was he watching at home and is now a Chelsea fan next year ?
Just shows how many people are happy to jump on a bandwaggon. Reminds me of our premier league season.
