Except from a few Barnsley teams, few years back, under Parkin for example. Derby were awful at the back, mediocre in midfield and even worse than us in front of goal. Big mistake letting Earnshaw go tbh.

They were poor, especially with the signings they have made, we werent any better, but the win should give us some confidence to move up the league a bit though.

It was amusing to see the Derby fans not enjoying there trip to Oakwell, as last time they were full of themselves, what a big club with a big following etc. PMSL.

Ponty End, more noise from the start please, it really lifts the place when you get going (Y) (Y) (Y)

They were dire

But apart from two bits of quality by Hume (the shot and the corner) then so were we. But hey, we won, and that's what it's all about.

I agree we were bad for most of the gme, but at the end of the day we got going eventually, no matter how late on it was.

But so did they to be fair.

We started playing better when they opened up trying to get the goal. Steele made the double save & then it was all end to end. And the goals both came from set pieces, not open play. So you could say that us playing a little better had nothing to do with either goal.....

Worst team in ages.!!!...we have only played 2 at home and they were better than the last lot

On amount of play.............Derby should have won !!!
Davey knows it, and more or less said so..............Jewell knows it, and did say so.........and I know it
Why can't others see this ???
Humes goal was the first shot we had on target ............FFS !!!

Same old story on here................most look at the score line and this dominates what they think about the match
Example.........We lose 3 against teams that you could predict we would lose against and most want Davey out. We win one.............and nowt said

If Derby had a Freddy Eastwood type of player they would have scored SIX

We were better than Coventry, we had 80% of that match and lost
Derby seem to have had 80% of the match on Saturday and lost..........I looked at my watch at 22 minutes past 3 and we hadn't got out of our half by that time

So to say Derby was the worst team in ages is really just a :D :D :D

You don't seem to understand

Everyone knows we were terrible and Derby should have capitalized. We gave them so much time, space yet the closest they came to scoring was the odd long shot.

We were awful and a half decent team would have put two or three past us.

RE: You don't seem to understand.............reight got yer.........

So on that line of thought...............Barnsley (last Saturday) was the worst team I've seen at Oakwell in ages
Which when yer think about it.............its true

I'm more concerned after Saturdays performance, which was a win, than after losing the first 3 matches on the trot
I wasn't concerned before because the players looked up for the task. They had their heads up. On Saturday they looked nervous and some of them didn't want the ball.............until Hume scored then every player wanted the ball
Which for me is a very very bad sign

2 equally bad teams

First one to score would win, which thanks to Luke Steele, was us. That game could have been very different and the Derby fans could've been singing about the 'sack in the morning' to Davey.

Funny old game football.

The players were under immense pressure against Derby.......

They probably werent expected to win any of the previous games (apart from Crewe) but they knew Derby was a crucial game and the pressure got to them, Its normal and understandable.

Hopefully with three points on the board they can relaxe and play a bit of football. the Sooner De Silva or Colace play the better as Devay has to choose between Howard and Leon. He cant play both in the centre.

We were poor until we changed it

The reason why we were outplayed imo was because Derby were bullying us in midfield. They had two giants there and they were two powerful for Leon and Howard, who couldn't make a tackle between them. I know Hassell isn't the ideal midfielder, but he can tackle and when he came on we were a lot more solid in the middle.

As soon as Anderson etc comes back we'll be fine.

does anyone wonder what happens if Anderson never comes back?

and Colace never gets clearence.
Some players never recover from cruciate damage. or when they do they are a shadow of their former selves.

Davey should think about this and get some in on loan TODAY!!!!

I have to choose what to have for my tea tonight - I can have roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and three vegetables with real gravy, or I could have a liquid **** in a bowl. Decisions, decisions.
