England were dull, so not much to get excited about there Very few surprises in the group stages The African teams were not the best from that continent, which may be why the groups were a bit tame Many of the games have resembled a chess tournament, with too many knockout games ending 1-0 or 0-0 The general level of play acting, referee nagging and diving has been depressing I've just not really been inspired
i agree about the african nations it would have been better to see the likes of Nigeria, Cameroon and Senegal
in Germany.

Except..... ....for Ghana, IMO, who were an absolutely class outfit. How they didn't roll over Brazil, I'll never know - bossed the game from start to end.
Don't agree about the Africans i think the Africans were definatly one of the highlights You can see progress in those teams from the days when Camaroon appeared on the scene My prediction - a bit more proffesionalism and one of these African teams is soon going to make the top 4 in the world The skill and physical strengh of these guys is very impressive Other highlights for me was the USA and Australia - well organised and battlers to the end
think its been garbage FIFA directives have spoilt it booked for anything = players dive to get sendings off when teams so evenly matched. sepp blatter realising he's caused it = let's say 3 yellows for a suspension rather than admit mistakes by telling refs to not give yellows for anything
RE: i agree about the african nations Thought Ghana and the Ivory Coast were quite good. Had the Ivory Coast been in any other group they'd have got through to the 2nd stage. Togo, Tunisia and Angola were pretty hopeless though
Its been rubbish Even without England's stumbling towards the exit, its been wholly underwhelming I think. Very few games or teams to get excited about, cheating and/or bad refereeing in nearly every game, and far too defensive and cautious generally. Germany has done a top job staging it though, so hats off to them.
