I've watched the replay several times. It happens so fast that it's hard to tell for sure, but it looks over the line to me.
Tried stopping it on vid but its too quick, certainly close, but with a ref and a lino on the plot you would expect em to gerrit reight.
Very true , not as though its during the game and the linesman is catching up with play But it does look close
Looks very close. Even closer is their first goal which looks offside to me. Winnall's was the better goal, but I prefer Berry's. That's exactly where a midfield player should be stood when we put a cross in to the box. Paul Scholes and Graeme Souness scored at least half a dozen every season from standing on the edge of the box, watching a clearance come straight out to them and rifling it back in to the net.
Click the little gear at the bottom of the video and set the speed to 0.25 and the first goal looks offside and the Winnall penalty looks to be well over the line. it was the backspin off the crossbar that brought it back out. edit.. press play first.
Just tried that. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the penalty looks a yard over the line. Their guy is offside for the first too. Ah well, doesn't really matter, only the JPT. They should still get it right though.
Seeing it from behind the goal on a mobile phone video it looks to just touch the line on the kickers side so not close from that angle
Their player knew he was offside, look at his glance towards the linesman and the "f*ck me he's kept his flag down" expression on his face.
I thought that at the time but he never appealed . watch it on youtube and it looks well over. as for the first goal offside, not for me. I was watching poleon and didn't look off to me. missed the head injury incident jut before
we are out of the competition.Let it go and move on disappointing true, but then we have been let down for many many seasons now, in ALL competitions.
Re: we are out of the competition.Let it go and move on We were directly in line with the penalty spot 4 or 5 rows from front and from there it looked it looked to bounce smack on the line, and apart from a half hearted arm in the air from Winall I think he knew it wasn't in.
