    Looks ok to me

wednesday awy first game, couldn't ask for a better away fixture to open account and away following should be swelled with opening day interest. Boxing day a t Preston is fine only an hour away simular to Burnley last year.
Being away first game does give us 3 home fixtures in August so where's the problem or is it only a problem to the fans that don't travel???

Plenty. Especially if we'd got Sheffield Wednesday at home first game and, like Sheffield Wednesday, a big club like Newcastle on Boxing Day.

wdnesday at home first game. wouldn't have been that many more than on a normal saturday and newcastle at home boxing day yes would have been a full house but don't you think that game will probably pull the highest league attendance anyway. boxing day game could have always been Bristol city at home!!!

Yes it could have been Bristol, but Bristol on Boxing day would attract more fans than Bristol on a normal Saturday.

And its not JUST a financial thing, there's something specail about those fixtures, the people who don't travel are missing out again.

    RE: Why missing out

yes but travelling to Wednesday for an opening game isn't that far and really we couldn't have asked for a better away fixture as opening game where around 7,000 away fans can be housed. Should be no excuse. It would have been good to be home boxing day i agree, but those fixtures could have been a lot worse

I agree, as an away first fixture its probably the best. I still think that at least 1 of the 3 should be at home.
