    Also

Don't get trampled by elephants, charged at by rhinos or go anywhere near hippos.

I could be an African safari guide me.

Lived there for 4 years mate (now in Tanzania), so went on loads of safaris. Depends what you are looking for. Masai Mara Game Reserve you are virtually guaranteed to see almost all the game, but its quite busy, you will find lions for example, then suddenly there will be about 10 buses there with you. But it's still fantastic and if it's a once in a lifetime trip, then you wont be disappointed.

If you are staying on the coast (Mombasa) then they will probably offer you trips to Tsavo. This place is much more remote and quieter that the Mara, plenty of game there too, but not quite guaranteed as such.

Smaller good parks include Samburu (last time we went there, saw plenty of game) and Amboseli, which is great for elephants and views of Kilimanjaro.

Kenya - Its a great place for a holiday, the cpastline is fantastic too, beer is cheap, people very friendly. Highly recommended.

Let me know if you need any more info

    Cheers, very useful

We fly to Naroibi, have two nights at Treetops, then on to Lake Navaisha and one night at Navaisha Simba Lodge, then on to the Masai with three nights at Mara Simba. I've booked the balloon trip while we're at the Masai, which was quite expensive but hopefully worthwhile. Fly from N'bi down to Mombassa and have week at Diani Beach, is there anything of note to see and do down that way ? is Mombassa worth an excursion ?

Any must takes ? got camera and a couple of pairs of bins. Is traditional Colonial Dress alright with the locals, I'm thinking of Khaki Shorts and Shirt finished off with a smart pair of brogues

Sounds like a great trip, you will love it mate for sure.

Naivasha very peaceful, Hells Gate national Park (Gorge Walk very good)is worth a look and Mt Longonot too if you are a walker.

Diani beach will blow you away, you wont find a better one anywhere IMHO. Try Forty Thieves beach bar for lunch/beers, a great place. Are you going with the missus? Watch out for the local girls, they can be a bit lively. I took a massage and almost got more than I bargained for!!

Mombasa, worth a half day trip. Fort Jesus quite interesting, but its just a big hot dirty city really.

    Enjoy!!
