bloody scarey when you get a letter saying you're behind on your payments and if i dont pay up they want the full 26k off me asap!
looks like they paid it for several months then....well
funny (for now) thing is that the bank who looks like losing out on the 30k is a bank i had a ding dong with a few years ago, so it looks like it couldn't have happened to a nicer bank :D

just hope to **** that they dont find anything to think i had owt to do with it, cops said just forget about it for now and let the bank deal with it

Had a credit card that somebody was using the number of. It was one that I had got for an introductory offer and once the balance was paid off I just left the card open. They ran up about a grand. Alerted when they rang me to ask if I wanted to up my credit limit due to my spending. I said I hadnt used it for ages. They just sent me a list of all the purchases and a declaration to sign to say I knew nothing about them. It was somebody who had been on a date. He had bought flowers, meal and champagne in New York, bought theatre tickets in NY, and flown to somewhere else in the states (can't remember now). Cheeky fecker. To be fair to the company (Capital One) they just wrote it off and never bothered me about it again.
