Yep - I unlocked a Blackberry Curve 8310 last year sometime - I followed the instructions on http://freemyblackberry.com/ and it worked perfectly. Mine was locked with a corporate security policy but it got round all that no problem. It gets rid of everything and puts it back to factory defaults so make sure you have a backup first of all your contacts etc
Looks like a variety of ways such as via a cable and software or direct through the phone's menu. I think I downloaded the software because I happened to have a data cable but the menu method looks easy enough - this should guide you through: http://freemyblackberry.com/mepcode.html From memory the whole process takes an hour or so at least as the whole phone software has to be reloaded but it's largely automatic once it starts
Thanks mate, they give you an option to do it without needing that ID so I did it the lazy way Waiting for the email now so I can get it unlocked.
I looked at the codes an that on the internet, read mixed stories about some working some not. So opted to take it to a guy on the market, who charged me £15 even though he'd clearly just got a code off the internet
