Everybody up there thinks the 70s concrete extension is a carbuncle but I think it's ace.

    Anyone else seen it?

Had my wedding bash there. Brilliant. Fantastic food. We stayed up in the "haunted" bedrooms. I was too hammered to notice any spooks though! Don't know owt about 70s extension - what's that then?

A few years back during the christmas collage holidays some of the guys thatI was in a band with and myself had the full run of the house for the weekend.Knowbody else there, just us, needless to say, we had a good time..

Topbuilding, lots of secret passages and things. The library is amazing.Next time you visit, push the panel to the right of the fire place at the far end of the long hall,it will reveal some hidden stairs.... dare ya to go up em...... (wicked)

I think the concrete bit looks a bit shabby, if its the bit i'm thinking of, I'd flatern it. :)

The library was originally a winter exercise room for the ladies to walk up and down in. I like the pillars at either end, they'd make good goalposts.

It's on concrete stilts. Somehow reminiscent of A Clockwork Orange. Buildings like Wentworth castle are ten-a-penny but the 70s bit has done well to escape the Philistines.
