Oldham fan - travels all over the UK watching non-league football at every level and writes up his match day experience. Usually a good read, but as a change of routine, he's managed to get into Millmoor for a nose round. Some great photos and brings back memories of our awaydays there. Amazing it's still pretty much untouched since shutting up shop in 2008

Certainly brings back some memories for me as a teenager.. the FA Cup game in '79; the FA Cup in '80 and then the 4-2 win the year after.
The latter two games saw Millmoor packed solid at our end.

It’s actually still used. There’s a Sunday league play there and a few kids teams I think who are linked to the booths as owners

they recently had a sort of open day for millers fans to go and have a look around I believe

Not on FB so sadly can’t see all the images. If I’d have been free on the open day the other week I’d have gone and had a look. Millmoor brings back a lot of memories.
Love seeing all the old grounds. Flashback to a bygone era.

That was a big appeal for me. When you went away and took in all the different layouts of the grounds.

Yeah that’s right, it still is used.

The new stand was still never finished either.

Yeah a couple of months ago you could pop in. I think someone on here mentioned it and I bobbed in on my way home from work as I've never been. Very eerie, but incredible to have a nosey around an old ground with all areas (pretty much) accessible.

I was stood on top of the social club thing in the corner for a bit.
