Well in April the M.P.'s are £2,200, been reading 1 M.P. is donating her rise to charity a Ms Zarah Sultana it takes no guessing what party she is in. The rest of the country will be hit by higher Electric bills (my bill by £340) higher gas bills, water bills, Petrol and diesel going up the price of food and clothes. And there was I after listening to the Brexit gang of fraudsters telling me everything was going to be cheaper as soon as we left the E.U. I must have been as daft as boathoss for listening, Sunlit uplands my arse. And there they are the MP's praising the work of the NHS at every opportunity and giving them a pay rise of sumat and nowt,

In short a bit of a saw subject, but probably not. But don't worry, my companies parent company are putting prices up by nearly 10%

Got 1.75% equate to around £3.62 so more of a cut than a rise

Self employed so I plan to keep it real and stay grounded.

Though I have promised to treat the Bentley to heated mirrors.

annual rise of 4.5% is prob best for around 5 years or so, but they've took their pound of flesh.

Getting a small one less than inflation and I didn’t have one last year or the year before when I had a temporary cut for 6 months due to covid. So can’t say I’m over impressed at the MPs getting a large rise

I love the fact that this pay rise is being sold as being in line with other public sector workers over the last couple of years. I am a public sector worker and I can categorically state that I have not had a pay rise of this magnitude in the last 2 years, and I don’t expect this years will come anywhere near it. Still, at least they are using the excuse that the MPs have worked harder over the last year to warrant it, obviously no one else has either :mad::mad:

I retired from local government in 2017. Not long before that, we had a central government inflicted pay freeze for 4 years. I don't recall MPs wanting to align themselves with us back then, the two-faced ********.

My DJ company has lost £70k in the last two years,

We have to put our prices up to pay of that. Otherwise may as well give up now. A lot of businesses in my industry are in the same place. 17 months with no income & no support.

We have stuck by all our bookings at the same price though we have rescheduled for 2 years.

Self employed builder here. What I'm expecting is work to slow down drastically at some point, as potential customers will be spending their coin elsewhere.
Probs have to drop my income target.

I would imagine with rising costs and bills non essential work may be out on hold for a bit?

My gas and electric bill is going up £107 a month and I got a 20p an hour pay rise in January. The mrs hasn't got one. What a hoot.

You’ll have to make do with a room with a sauna, all the ones with a private pool have been spoken for,
