Or was it just a flash in the pan.
Must confess I have not been impressed.
But I have been wrong before.
And I admire Simon for having the guts to stick by players. Just hope he is right in the long term.

    I hope I'm wrong

I defended Odejayi most of the season but after Burnley and the cup semi I gave up believing in him so I'm chuffed for him that he played well and scored last night.

Not going to get carried away but last night he showed what he is capable of when well supported by team mates and with a bit of extra ruthlessness in his game.

Credit to Davey for sticking with him, I wouldn't have.

One swallow doesnt make a summer

I have never criticized his commitment to workrate etc and think he is a great guy.

I have stated I don't think he is a good enough finisher. One tap in (credit for being in the right place though) and one quality finish doesn't really change anything. If he can build on this performance and this is the turning point in his career so he starts knocking goals in every couple of games or so then no one will be happier than me to say sorry

im pleased for the guy will have helped his confidence ten fold but i think we have a right to be annoyed, his job is to score goals and thats something he hasnt been doing for most/all of the season

I'd be happy for him to continue scoring a tap in every week. Proper striker is always in the right place. One thing we have lacked for a while is a striker like that.

difference was we created those chances last night
the craft of Leon and JCR in a lesser extent
5-3-2 worked well but kozluk and Van were exposed a little at times when Watford pushed on in the first.

I hope those at the beginning of last nights game that were shouting for Christensen are going to. Soon changed the tune during the game

    No

But then I didn't go spouting my head off making stupid remarks about him never scoring for Barnsley again and asking for his head on a plate.

Thought Simon Davey made the right decision to play him, he has looked dangerous and he does owe us some goals, he can't repay us unless he plays.

Well played to KO for not crumpling, even after missing another sitter last night. Needs to have the self belief, if he puts himself about he has the attributes to be onto a few chances a game, only needs to convert 1 of those to every ninety minutes to be a good player.
