Should be straight forward On my laptop though one of the USBs doesn't charge it and the others do. Prob a technical issue with that port. Try charging it from a different computer to see if that makes a difference
Cheers, that was my first thought tried a different usb port still same, even tried it on my dads pc and still didn't charge Does it do it straight away? or do you leave it a few minutes? Will i have to buy a new adaptor if i can't get it to charge or will my adaptor from 2003 work?? i.e is it same end?
If it's a work laptop they might have disabled your USB ports, so that you can't plug memory sticks in and stuff ...
RE: Cheers, that was my first thought Should be the same connection for a 2003 connector. No idea why its not working for you.
My 2003 adaptor for a wall socket is up in Newcastle Didn't bring it down with me, had ipod delivered to parents house, thought new ipod would just charge from my laptop Don't really want to go out and buy a new adaptor when i've got one up in Toon that may work But its frustarting coz i wanna play with it
Have you: Installed itunes and downloaded the latest firmware? If your ipod is straight out of the box and your laptop doesn't have itunes on it that will be the prob. Once its connected to itunes it'll start to do its stuff and then charge itself. If you have got itunes on, is it recognising your ipod when you connect via USB?
*NINKENPOOP ALERT NINKENPOOP ALERT i've sorted it sorry for wasting your time, it was charging, just didn't bloody well look like it was Too impatient me at times Would have expected some sort of flashing or movement from the bar like Cheers pal
